Notes from building and running software

What we learn from our own sites and products, written up: SEO and AI search, news SEO, websites and SaaS engineering. Every post says what we measured and what is still guesswork.

A new company name that Google reads as 'AI automations': what we are doing about it

In October 2026, Google Greece answers a search for 'aaautomations' with Make, Home Assistant, IBM and Notion, not with us. We think the name and a brand-new site are the reasons. We are giving Google consistent signals about who we are, and we will publish the same searches again after 90 days.

About this blog

What do we write about?

We write about the work we do every day, and about the questions clients ask us before a project starts:

  • Search and AI search. How SEO and AI search (GEO) actually work, what is documented and what is not, and what we see when we test it on our own site.
  • News SEO. What news publishers can control in Google News, Top Stories and Discover.
  • Websites. Fast, prerendered websites, migrations and the technical details that decide whether a page can be found.
  • SaaS engineering. What we learn building and running our own products, Kommo, Forkly and Mesito.

How do we write?

Each post starts with a one- or two-sentence answer, then the detail. We date every post and update it when something changes. We only quote numbers we measured ourselves, and we say how we measured them. When something is our opinion or a guess, we say so.

If a post raises a question about your own site or product, write to us.

Tell us what you want to build.

A product, a website, a search problem or a system that should work better. We reply with a plain answer and the first step.

A few sentences are enough (at least 20 characters).

We use your details only to answer your inquiry. See our privacy policy.
